i've had the oura ring for over a week now... here are my honest thoughts
if you follow my instagram stories, you probably remember i was on the fence with my new oura ring for the first few days. but quite a few of you wanted an honest review before shelling out the kind of money (reasonable af lol)… so we gave it a chance!
after having it for almost two weeks, it’s really grown on me & i’ve been enjoying the insights that my apple watch misses the mark on. but i dislike a long, drawn out intro as much as the next person so let’s get straight to the point with some pros & cons…
cons :
upfront cost - the rings are pricey
month-to-month cost - i hate that you have to pay a monthly subscription to use their app, especially when the upfront cost is so much
overall size of the ring - let’s just be honest… the ring itself is BIG. i started to like the look of it more when i started wearing it on my thumb. i hated the way it felt on my index & middle fingers
if you want to compare it to the apple watch - for the price, it overall does less. so think about what’s important to you with what it is tracking & how you're going to use it
pros:
i love how in-depth everything is in the app. from sleep, body temperature to overall readiness - i find these insights highly educational & that is really what i was looking for in the ring.
it tracks sleep in much more detail than the apple watch - bonus points for the fact i dont like sleeping with my watch on
the charge lasts days! + it charges very quickly. this is a huge plus! compare this to the apple watch, the Oura ring wins that round
overall it gives so much more detail on health insights than my apple watch.
i purchased mine at best buy : its currently on sale for $429, instead of $499.
i purchased online & picked up in a locker, which i loved. + you can exchange for another size if need be!

i hope this helps you make your own decision in whether or not an Oura ring would be beneficial for you too!
